Status-conscious and well-monied people bought houses befitting their rank in the area around lake Wannsee.<\/p>\n<p>The famous lake &#8220;Grosser Wannsee&#8221; is located in Berlin&#8217;s south-western district Steglitz-Zehlendorf.
