\nThe Stechlinsee is a paradise for divers because of its nutrient-poor water and its typical flora and fauna for a clear water lake. The light falls in depths of up to ten meters and also allows for lush vegetation. The lake is rich in fish such as roach, pike, perch and, of course, the Fontane-Mar\u00e4ne, which occurs only in the Stechlin. The Tauchbasis Stechlin was built in the middle of the seventies and now belongs to the family of Atlantis diving bases.
